A Mile in Laurens Heel's

Who is Lauren Edge,

I am a caring, bubbly mum who loves making other women fall in love with themselves again after having their babies.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is very simplistic but also I want to say fashionable as that’s something my mum has always called me. I love easy outfits you can throw on but that still make me feel confident and stylish!

A moment in life when you thought nothing could get better?

The day I brought my second baby boy home from the hospital and he met his brother and held him for the first time. I felt like I had completed a milestone in my life. Also when I went and filmed Naked Education a show that was created to help people love their bodies. I was on the segment of post partum bodies and showing my mumbod & speaking about my PND on the tv and knowing it was going to help so many women & mums was a huge highlight.

Your biggest achievement?

Hitting 100k on both insta & tiktok. Knowing over 100,000 people believed in me and my message was a really big goal for me.

3 tips for self love

1.Societies beauty standards are BS and you’ll never be happy with yourself if you try and live up to them. They’re always changing every decade, don’t waste your best years trying to be ‘perfect’ because it doesn’t exist.
2.Treat yourself with the same kindness as you treat others. You deserve it too. 3.Remember that social media is a highlight reel of people’s life’s. It’s not real. From in app edits to posing. It isn’t real, don’t compare your everyday to their best bit.

Your happy place?

Anywhere with my husband & two boys but especially with them Travelling and seeing the world.

Advice to your younger self?

Be brave. It’s scary to step out of your comfort zone but regret is worse. Also don’t let people take advantage of you. Stand up for yourself and your needs too!.

Hardest lesson to learn?

Motherhood! Its just hard full stop. It’s okay to not be the mother you thought you’d be. Also time is a thief so stop getting worked up about the little things.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

Women! Any women I see that are embracing their bodies and inspiring other women to be authentically themselves too!

Something your passionate about right now?

Body acceptance. Mums & their mental health and Abortion rights around the world. Without my mentally necessary Abortion after losing my baby I would have died leaving my other little boy who needs his mummy too!

Biggest adulting fail or embarrassing moment?

I’m so clumsy, I’m always falling over in public. I fell over coming out of the cinema on mine and my now husbands first date, it was packed and he pulled me up so fast in the hope no body saw, but no doubt I’ve done something worse that I have banished from my memory.
